Business Consulting that starts with listening

Most firms already know something is off. Revenue plateaus, team friction, a strategy that looked right two years ago but feels wrong now. We sit with you, look at the numbers, talk to your people, and build a plan you can actually execute.

What we actually do

Four practice areas. Each one built around a specific kind of problem, not a vague promise.

Operational review

We map your workflows end to end, identify where time and money leak, and redesign processes. A typical engagement runs six to eight weeks and produces a prioritised action list with cost estimates for each change.

Financial restructuring

Cash-flow modelling, debt renegotiation support, and margin analysis. We work alongside your finance team rather than replacing them, which means the improvements stick after we leave.

Growth strategy

Market entry planning, competitor benchmarking, and channel economics. Before you spend on expansion we test the assumptions with real data. If the numbers say wait, we tell you to wait.

Leadership and team alignment

Facilitating board-level strategy sessions, running 360-degree feedback rounds, and coaching founders through succession planning. We have worked with owner-managed businesses from five employees to five hundred.

Common situations we walk into

These are real patterns from our case files, not hypothetical scenarios.

What clients describe

  • Revenue is growing but profit is flat or falling
  • Two departments keep blaming each other for missed deadlines
  • The founder wants to step back but nobody is ready to step up
  • A new competitor entered the market and pricing pressure is rising
  • The board approved a strategy twelve months ago and nothing has changed

What we do about it

  • Trace every cost line and renegotiate the three largest supplier contracts
  • Redesign the handoff process and install shared KPIs across both teams
  • Build a twelve-month succession roadmap with measurable milestones
  • Run a pricing elasticity study and reposition the product tier structure
  • Break the strategy into 90-day sprints with named owners and weekly check-ins

How an engagement works

No surprises. You know what happens at each stage, what it costs, and when it ends.

Discovery call

Thirty minutes on the phone or video. You describe the situation; we ask questions. No charge, no obligation. By the end we both know whether there is a fit.

Diagnostic phase

We spend one to two weeks inside your business. Interviews with key staff, review of financial statements, process observation. You receive a written diagnostic report with findings and recommendations.

Proposal and scope agreement

Based on the diagnostic, we propose a fixed-fee engagement with a clear timeline. If the diagnostic alone solves your problem, you owe nothing further.

Implementation support

We work alongside your team to execute the plan. Fortnightly progress reviews keep everything on track. Average engagement length is ten to fourteen weeks.

Handover and follow-up

Final report, knowledge transfer sessions, and a 90-day check-in call included at no extra cost. You keep all templates, models, and documentation we create.

Outcomes from recent work

Three anonymised examples from the past eighteen months.

Manufacturing firm, South Wales

Reduced production waste by 23% in twelve weeks through supplier consolidation and shop-floor process changes. Annual saving: £310,000.

Professional services partnership, Cardiff

Resolved a partner deadlock that had stalled hiring for nine months. New governance structure approved within six weeks. Headcount grew by 40% over the following year.

E-commerce retailer, Swansea

Rebuilt pricing architecture across 1,200 SKUs. Gross margin improved from 28% to 36% without reducing order volume. Project duration: eight weeks.

Questions we hear often

Diagnostic fees start at £1,800. Full implementation projects range from £8,000 to £35,000 depending on scope and duration. We quote a fixed fee before work begins, so there are no hourly surprises.

Yes. About a third of our clients are based elsewhere in the UK. We travel for on-site work and run remote sessions where that makes more sense. Travel costs within mainland Britain are included in the project fee.

Manufacturing, professional services, and retail make up most of our portfolio. We have also completed projects in logistics, hospitality, and technology. If your sector is outside our experience, we will say so on the discovery call rather than pretend otherwise.

Absolutely. We run standalone strategy days, board facilitation sessions, and half-day financial health checks. These are priced individually and often serve as a useful first step before a larger engagement.

We set measurable targets at the start. If we miss them because of something within our control, we continue working at no additional fee until the agreed outcomes are met or we refund the implementation portion of the fee. That commitment is written into the engagement letter.
